About OO Pinyin Guide

OO Pinyin Guide is a Java extension for OpenOffice 3 or higher.
It enables to add pinyin transliteration over chinese characters inside a
text document.

This tool can be useful for people learning or teaching chinese.

OO Pinyin Guide is based on the jpinyinlookup library to handle the chinese to
pinyin conversion. It is based on the CEDICT dictionary.

Running
-------

Once installed, to open the pinyin guide, first select some text, then open the
"Format" menu and select "Pinyin guide...".

Modifying the ruby style
------------------------

If you want to modify the ruby style (the part containing the pinyin text),
select the "Rubies" character style in the "Pinyin Guide" dialog.
Then open the "Styles and Formatting" dialog from the "Format" menu.
Select the "Character styles" button, then edit the "Rubies" style. This change
will affect all the rubies in the document.
If you need different ruby styles, then you will have to create separate styles
and select them in the "Pinyin Guide" dialog.
