System Setup
- This module lets you quickly configure NeDi and either discover your network devices or scan endnodes (bothin a new window)
- If you use a CIDR notation, fping scans that range first and uses the result to discover devices or endnodes efficiently
- The reports on the bottom refresh automatically to show the progress of either action
- When you add a v3 community or user with the "Password Security" checkbox checked it'll encrypt the PW with a hardcoded secret. You can change this by searching for "change for more security" in inc/libmisc.pm and html/inc/libmisc.php and replace it with your own secret. Then you need add the users and delete the old ones. Keep in mind, that you have to change the secret again, after every NeDi update!
- Configure SNMP communities and CLI logins for devices
- Optionally you can edit nedi.conf
and add seeds
- Enter an IP address in CIDR notation (e.g. 10.10.10.0/24) or leave blank to start with the default GW or the seeds, if added
- Check discovery protocols or routes if you want to discover neighbors too, then click Start
- To scan endnodes, simply enter an IP address in CIDR notation and click Start
