Geral

Toda a documentação e as referências do KDE foram removidas porque ele não é mais fornecido.
Foram removidas todas as referências ao SuSEconfig, que não é mais suportado (Fate#100011).
Migrar do init do System V para o systemd (Fate#310421). A atualização afetou partes da documentação.
O YaST Runlevel Editor mudou para Services Manager (Fate#312568). A atualização afetou partes da documentação.
Foram removidas todas as referências ao suporte do ISDN, já que esse suporte foi removido (Fate#314594).
Foram removidas todas as referências ao módulo DSL do YaST, pois ele não é mais fornecido (Fate#316264).
Foram removidas todas as referências ao módulo Modem do YaST, pois ele não é mais fornecido (Fate#316264).
Btrfs tornou-se o sistema de arquivos padrão para a partição raiz (Fate#315901). A atualização afetou partes da documentação.
O dmesg agora inclui marcações de horário legíveis em formato igual a ctime() (Fate#316056). A atualização afetou partes da documentação.

YaST provides an option to enable or disable the use of delta RPMs (Fate#314867).
Before installing patches that require a reboot, you are notified by YaST and can choose how to proceed.

Chapter 2, Gathering System Information for Support

Added the section Section 2.1, “Displaying Current System Information” (Fate#315869).
Added a section about the Supportconfig Analysis (SCA) tool and appliance: Section 2.4, “Analyzing System Information” (Fate#315699).
Added the section Section 2.5, “Support of Kernel Modules” (http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=869159).
Updated and restructured the chapter.

Chapter 3, YaST in Text Mode

Added information on how to filter and select packages in the software installation module.

Chapter 4, System Recovery and Snapshot Management with Snapper

Updated the chapter and added new features (Fate#312751, Fate#316238, Fate#316233, Fate#316232, Fate#316222, Fate#316203, Fate#316222).
Added the section Section 4.3, “System Rollback by Booting from Snapshots” (Fate#316231, Fate#316221, Fate#316541, Fate#316522).

Chapter 5, Remote Access with VNC

The default VNC viewer is now tigervnc.
Added corrections on window manager start-up in persistent VNC sessions.

Chapter 6, Managing Software with Command Line Tools

Removed documentation about Zypper's rug compatibility mode (Fate#317708)
Rewrote Section 6.1.5, “Querying Repositories and Packages with Zypper”.

Chapter 9, Booting a Linux System

Significantly shortened the chapter, because System V init has been replaced by systemd. systemd is now described in a separate chapter: Chapter 10, The systemd Daemon.

Chapter 10, The systemd Daemon

Added a new chapter on systemd and the YaST Services Manager (Fate#316631, Fate#312568).
New section on loading kernel modules (http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=892349).

Chapter 11, journalctl: Query the systemd Journal

Added a new chapter (http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=878352).

Chapter 12, The Boot Loader GRUB 2

Replaced the GRUB Legacy documentation with a new chapter on GRUB 2.
Support for LILO has been dropped.
Added new section Section 12.4, “Differences in Terminal Usage on System z”.

Chapter 13, UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)

Updated the chapter and added new features (Fate#314510, Fate#316365).
Fixed http://doccomments.provo.novell.com/comments/25080.

Chapter 15, Printer Operation

Updated chapter and section according to new CUPS version and with PDF now being a common printing data format (Fate#314630).

Chapter 17, The X Window System

Updated the chapter to reflect dynamic configuration during each start-up.
Updated Section 17.1, “Installing and Configuring Fonts”.

Chapter 19, Basic Networking

NetworkManager ist now part of the Workstation Extension: Section 19.4.1.1, “Configuring Global Networking Options” (Fate#316888).
Added section about new wicked framework for network configuration: Section 19.5, “Configuring a Network Connection Manually” (Fate#316649).
Mentioned additional options that can be added to /etc/resolv.conf: Section 19.5.2, “Configuration Files” (Fate#316048).

Chapter 20, SLP

Re-wrote chapter to provide significantly more information on the slptool command.

Chapter 22, The Domain Name System

The YaST DNS module now supports configuring forwarders (Fate#309036).

Chapter 23, DHCP

Removed dhcpcd as it is no longer shipped (Fate#316111).

Chapter 25, Samba

Added section Section 25.8, “Advanced Topics”.
Added section Section 25.8.1, “Transparent File Compression on Btrfs”.
Added section Section 25.8.2, “Snapshots”.

Chapter 26, Sharing File Systems with NFS

Configuring NFSv4 shares is now mostly similar to NFSv3, especially the previously required bind mount setting is now deprecated (Fate#315589).
Mounting NFS volumes locally on the exporting server is not supported.

Chapter 27, On-Demand Mounting with Autofs

Added a chapter on autofs (Fate#316185).

Chapter 29, The Apache HTTP Server

Removed references to mono and mod_mono as it was removed from the distribution.
Updated the chapter to Apache version 2.4 (Fate#316067).
Removed deprecated directive NameVirtualHost and updated Section 29.2.2.1, “Virtual Host Configuration” accordingly.
Updated Order, Allow, and Deny directives with standard Require.
Removed virtual "Snake Oil" company from Section 29.6, “Setting Up a Secure Web Server with SSL”.

Chapter 30, Setting up an FTP Server with YaST

pure-ftpd was dropped (Fate #315176, Fate#316308).

Chapter 34, Power Management

Remove obsolete references to the pm-utils package.

Chapter 36, Common Problems and Their Solutions

Added new section Section 36.3.3, “Root Btrfs Partition Cannot be Mounted” (Fate#308679, Fate#315126).
Removed section about deprecated YaST Repair module (Fate#308679).

Wi-Fi Configuration

Removed chapter about Wi-Fi configuration with YaST as Wi-Fi configuration can be done with NetworkManager: Chapter 24, Using NetworkManager.

Tablet PCs

Removed deprecated chapter about tablet PCs.

Bugfixes

Added the section Section 2.5, “Support of Kernel Modules” (http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=869159).
Added a new chapter Chapter 11, journalctl: Query the systemd Journal (http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=878352)
