BitScope is Internet capable. Lots of people have asked us if they
can try the DSO on a real BitScope over the Internet. Yes you can !

We've put a BS300N BitScope on the Internet. It's called SYDNEY. You
can try it out live on the Internet if your PC is Internet connected
(via dialup, cable or ADSL) when you run the DSO software on your PC.

Simply select "1 ETHERNET SYDNEY" via the DSO's SETUP dialog and run
the DSO. If it can find SYDNEY you will see a waveform appear on the
screen after a few seconds. Once connected you can click TRACE to re-
capture the waveform or use any other function of the DSO, live !

The waveform generator connected to SYDNEY is a WavePOD set to show a
rounded sawtooth and square wave signal. NOTE: because the Internet
link to SYDNEY is not as fast as a USB or LAN connection the display
update rate will be limited to 2 Hz (you'll get up to 50 Hz connected
via USB or LAN with your own BS300 !).

We've put SYDNEY online as a shared resource so you can try out the
DSO application with a real BS300N. However, because more than one
person may attempt to use this BitScope simultaneously, you may see
the data change unexpectedly (because someone else has done a trace
in the meantime). If this happens, just click TRACE again to grab an
update or try again later when (presumably) the other person has gone
 off to have lunch :-)

For details of how to install/use the DSO itself see README.txt.

 Enjoy.
