Half-life and gamma-ray measurements have proved to be somewhat    601 1451   23
ambiguous and contradictory.  The gamma rays observed by Taff et   601 1451   24
al (half-life of 18(4) sec) and Reiter et al (half-life of 16(4)   601 1451   25
sec) were partially attributed to the decay of Cu-70 by Runte et   601 1451   26
al (1983); a half-life of 21(1) sec was determined for the beta    601 1451   27
activity assigned tentatively to Ni-67 by Runte et al (1985).      601 1451   28
                                                                   601 1451   29
Runte et al (1985) identified seven gamma rays with the beta       601 1451   30
decay of Ni-67, with their intensities expressed relative to the   601 1451   31
821.6 keV gamma ray.  These data have been adopted in the          601 1451   32
construction of a decay scheme, although the relative emission     601 1451   33
probabilities have been re-calculated with respect to the more     601 1451   34
prominent 1937.1 keV gamma ray.  The same degree of uncertainty    601 1451   35
was maintained for these modified relative emission probabilities  601 1451   36
as for the original measurements, apart from the 1937.1 keV gamma  601 1451   37
ray (which was defined rigidly as 100%, without any assigned       601 1451   38
uncertainty other than that associated with the resulting          601 1451   39
normalisation factor).                                             601 1451   40
                                                                   601 1451   41
Beta decay directly to the ground state of Cu-67 is an important   601 1451   42
parameter in estimating the normalisation factor of the relative   601 1451   43
gamma-ray emission probabilities.  A value of 0.98 was adopted     601 1451   44
from the discussion of Runte et al (1985), with an arbitrary       601 1451   45
uncertainty of approximately 5%, to give a normalisation factor    601 1451   46
of 0.0065(15).  These data were used to calculate the low-         601 1451   47
intensity beta-particle emission probabilities to the 2841, 2680,  601 1451   48
2623, 2272 and 1937.1 keV nuclear levels of Cu-67.  Beta decay to  601 1451   49
the 1115.4 keV nuclear level was assumed to be zero, and a minor   601 1451   50
adjustment was made to the relative emission probability of the    601 1451   51
1115.4 keV gamma ray to achieve the predicted                      601 1451   52
population/depopulation balance.                                   601 1451   53

The proposed decay scheme is highly tentative, and further         601 1451   55
studies are required to confirm the existence of the gamma rays    601 1451   56
and to clarify both the beta-particle and gamma-ray emission       601 1451   57
