The recommended half-life represents the mean of only two         3415 1451   47

A relatively simple decay scheme was constructed from the alpha-  3415 1451   52
particle studies of Walen, Peghaire, Soares et al, and Bortels    3415 1451   53
et al, and the gamma-ray measurements of Peghaire, Dalmasso et    3415 1451   54
al, Kurcewicz et al, Sadasivan and Raghunath, Schotzig and        3415 1451   55
Debertin, Vaninbroukx and Hansen, Bortels et al, Gehrke et al,    3415 1451   56
and Lin and Harbottle.  Only the gamma-ray studies of Kurcewicz   3415 1451   57
et al provide any detail beyond the 240.986 keV gamma ray; all    3415 1451   58
other measurements are dedicated to the determination of the      3415 1451   59
absolute emission probability of the 240.986 keV gamma ray.  A    3415 1451   60
weighted mean emission probability was determined for this        3415 1451   61
transition, and the other emission probabilities as measured by   3415 1451   62
Kurcewicz et al were subsequently adjusted.                       3415 1451   63

The alpha-particle emission probabilities were determined from    3415 1451   65
the gamma-ray data and theoretical internal conversion            3415 1451   66
coefficients. These calculations resulted in an absolute          3415 1451   67
emission probability of 5.26(7) for the 5448.81 keV alpha         3415 1451   68
particle (compared with a weighted mean value of 5.01(4) from     3415 1451   69
the alpha-particle measurements), and 94.72(7) for the 5685.50    3415 1451   70
keV alpha particle.  Further spectroscopic measurements are       3415 1451   71
required to resolve the discrepancies between the alpha-particle  3415 1451   72
and gamma-ray data (ie., decay data involving the 240.986 keV     3415 1451   73
and ground states of Rn-220).                                     3415 1451   74

Cluster decay has been observed by Price et al and Hourani et     3415 1451   76
al, and reviewed by Ardisson and Hussonnois, and Tretyakova and   3415 1451   77
Mikheev.  C-14 emissions were detected with a branching fraction  3415 1451   78
of 5(1)E-11.  This decay mode has not been included in the        3415 1451   79
decay-data file because of format limitations and the extremely   3415 1451   80
